I'm confident that the reason we're in this mess is that the men involved in #Brexit are those who grew up on a diet of "Battle", "Warlord" & "Commando" comics, which is how we got our mindless xenophobia:

Nowadays it would all be #CallOfDuty and so forth, but we'd be playing on servers with PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE OTHER COUNTRIES AND COULD LOOK PAST THE STORYLINE
For complicated reasons I was raised on a diet of "Look & Learn" & National Geographic (before it went to shit) - explains a lot, really.

Q for #NGINX experts: I'm running a reverse proxy (EOTK/Tor) and want to trap when upstream is sending me: "Content-Encoding: gzip" and return (probably) 406, because reasons.

I think I need ngx_http_upstream_module and $upstream_http_content_encoding.

Am I missing anything?
Reason being: I *always* set "Accept-Encoding: identity", the upstream should _never_ send me gzip/etc, but sometimes it does because CDNs and Vary headers are flaky.

Not to put too fine a point on it, different platforms — Apple, Facebook, Google, Twitter — all have pros & cons when it comes to privacy. There are no absolutes, no magic bullets, no white knights.

Doubtless some will chime in with YES BUT CAMBIFACEBOOKYTICARESEARCHAPPCERTIFICATES MEANS EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT NOW — but in truth, nothing has changed. People are just more aware, and risk overfocusing on one thing and ignoring the good/bad that is everywhere.

After this crushing defeat of May's Brexit deal, a loss by 230 votes, she will face a confidence vote brought by Corbyn & Labour. She's pretty sure she will survive that vote but there is no clear path forward. 2nd referendum? Election? #Brexit
