I want to ask your help with something....

Remember when @realdonaldtrump's team said they'd "vetted" 12 sites in 8 states for the 2020 G-7 summit, and Trump Doral was the best?
I'm trying to find the other 11 vetted sites....

@realDonaldTrump All we know abt the vetted sites is that they were in these 8 states (plus DC).

I called the gov's offices in each place, to see what they'd heard.

Got one hit: Hawaii said they had been told that Oahu was vetted in a general way. Feds didn't ask about any specific hotels.

@realDonaldTrump In CA, CO, MI, NC, UT and DC, the governors said they hadn't heard anything.

(In TN, I cannot get the governor's office to respond at all. I'm actually a little worried about TN now. If you're in Nashville, pls let WaPo know if you're experiencing anarchy or alien invasion.)

@realDonaldTrump So...has anybody else out there -- in the media, govt, hospitality industry, etc -- heard of other sites being vetted?

Trump said there were 12. I'm trying to prove him right. But so far I've come up short.

@realDonaldTrump UPDATE: We know one more site vetted for next year's G-7 Summit. Thanks to @ChadLivengood of Crain's Detroit Business, we know the Grand Hotel on Michigan's Mackinac Island was vetted.
