It is instructive that today is the International Day of Democracy.

If you are a public official, in a democracy, unless there is a DIRECT threat to your life, you have no business threatening people with arrest or jail time over their expressed thoughts and opinions.
If e too pain you, open a civil suit against the person for libel.

But to use state power to attempt to cow citizens into silence is despicable.
Why are we shouting about his threatening statements? Because he means them. It isn’t just idle talk:

Where is @Audu? Where is @realkefason (who shared a ‘dangerous’ video about protesting teachers)?
@ChidiOdinkalu is currently being prosecuted for basically calling your guy out over the inciting lies he told about the fake Fulani Kajuru killings.

What about @john_danfulani who is being prosecuted by your guy for ‘incitement’? I’ve attached John’s Facebook post.
Do I need to bring up the fortunate story of Gloria Ballason, a journalist who our friend threatened because of an “injurious” article she published? Thank God the Court ruled in her favour.

Luke Biniyat nko?
Beyond Nasir’s Kaduna, concepts like freedom & democracy are fast disappearing

Where is @MrFixNigeria?

If you want to help your friend, bend down and whisper in his ears that he needs to stop threatening us.

Just be careful sha. Monsters do not befriend mortals; they eat them.
@OgbeniDipo This was Nasir, on the eve of elections, in probably the most unstable state in Nigeria, telling Fulanis that 66 innocents had been murdered

This dangerous lie was reported internationally.

But it is twitter children that need to be careful.

Ah. My DMs are popping about what the best governor in Nigeria is using state power to do.

But fear dey catch me so let me issue a disclaimer:

Retweet no be endorsement. 🙃
