Celebrity entertainers can be loved for their art and loathed for their conduct and lifestyle. People will watch their movies and dance to their song even though they may not engage them on Socialmedia with regards. This dualism does not extend to Socialmedia influencers. ⛱

You became an influencer principally because of your engagement with the public. When you make the blunder of being blinded by the fame and limelight and you forget the source of your emergence, the street will clip your wings swiftly.

I have repeatedly admonished that Socialmedia engagement is both an art and a science, for those strategically engaging intentionally not merely using it as a drug to pass the time. There are metrics involved that generates data on your actual influence beyond the noise.

This is what corporates look at before approaching you for deals on value added services. For non-commercial engagements, people see you as a sounding board they can extrapolate ideas from, making their decision easier. So when you fall short in consistency you ruin lives.

This violation is not easily forgiven. Thinking is hard which is why people judge or find people to blame when things don’t go their way. The human brain chart a path to decision making that further makes future decisions easier by using already know paths (prejudices).

So the job of influencers is not as easy as most think it is. You are thinking for a population. When data extrapolated from you checks out, the Glory is shared not only by you but by several mother-in-laws and parents stuck in WhatsApp groups sending as received every idea.

So your failure is a failure of an entire village. One single false information or fake news must have travelled around the country 20times within the hour and when push comes to shove, someone will have to take the fall. Everyone prays not to trend for the wrong reasons.

The internet never forgets & influencers are hardly forgiven let alone having their sins forgotten. So it is advisable you chew those words before spitting them out. Never jump at an opportunity to react to tweets because the devil tricked you into believing this is your moment.

Using the trend table as a guide for your contribution on twitter is a demonstration of the lack of identity and purpose. Every timeline is supposed to be a continuous unique story. The account of a series of events summing up the identity of the user is what your space is.

Joining multitudes unethically in mob action without discipline or principles will not earn you followers nor make you an influencer but an influenza. True influencers make trends happen not by forcing trends but by focusing on purpose with visible impact and organic feedback.

Every tweet counts. Your engagement matters and your philosophy in life will be tested. This is what earns you a seat at the table with the greats. The thought leaders most of us may never meet in real life. Take this as a rare opportunity & don’t blow it.

So whatever it is my person may be celebrated for is not isolated to me. We all did it. It is my way of saying I hear you and feel you enough to take responsibility to answer a few prayers. Every tweet puts words to feelings that may be ineffable to many. These are no accidents.

A lot of studies went into the characterization of the culture of this handle. Rome was never built in a day. For this handle it took a decade to perfect the expression of purpose and forge its unique identity. Now we have a model that can inspire you to do likewise with yours.
