Alberta Metis Historical Society used some newspaper clippings of the day, you know as primary documentation ( Jeri the newspaper clipping collector, kinda has a nice ring to it 😊)

I think when I was mentioning the word Indian it directly had to do with this article from the Micmac News in 1975, if we want to talk about taking things out of context. You know where #Metis is in the Union of Nova Scotia bylaws.
Being a lawyer Jarvis, you must find this reprehensible to look at! Daniels case, you must find that Judge just horrible !

Derision and humiliation to Indigenous people. These are so called professionals, who are "scooping" innocent Indigenous people along in their humor who do not find it very funny. When you try and show your connection, you get blocked and self identified for you.

1. I so appreciate this thread by @ToriGlass (#FF). I believe there is value in this #Exvangelical community we’re building as we work and grow through tensions. I hope we can give each other some grace and take a step back to consider the sources of conflicting trauma responses.
2. Of course, we need to actively work not to elevate white feelings over POC as we do so. We white exvies need to be less fragile about being called out. And we need to recognize how the history of colonialism and white supremacism has given rise to different theologies.
3. Since #Exvangelical really began to become a thing, I and others, like @ToriGlass and @cindy_w_brandt and @brchastain, have advocated for the building of bridges between exvies who leave toxic religion for no religion, and exvies who leave for healthy or better religion.

I think the way people theorize the causal effect of money is odd. What do people think the marginal value of another billion is to a person like Bezos?—especially considering that wealth isn’t concretely spendable anyway
To spend it they’d have to sell it, and that would crater its value. This is especially true for billionaires & large corporations (and where states indulge in equity market money schemes), but it even starts to be true at the millionaire level.
I mean, actually, if we’re being frank, the marginal effect of additional money ceases to be directly causally relevant at about $78,000 a year. This has been studied, after that further fix derive from RELATIVE earnings, STATUS, and POWER.
