drive.google.com/open?id=1_poRN… Amazingly this RCAP report 432, which used to be freely available online, doesn't appear to be online anymore. Apparently INAC doesn't want anyone to be able to access it. Luckily I have it saved in several different locations. It would seem that
the more information that becomes available to back up Eastern Metis position, the more information is locked away from the general public. You might want to think deeply about why that is !!
Let's look at this little section from Clem Chartier for the first example, this was written before the Daniels decision and before we were included into section 91 (24) . We have Pam Palmater, also going around giving talks with Darryl Leroux on the subject of #raceshifting.

@deniscdn @DarrylLeroux do you want to quantify that statement? I am Mi'kmaw Metis, I am from the East, we are in the bylaws and constitution of the Union of Nova Scotia Indians since the 70's, pretty well the same time the western Metis were being reborn.

So about the MOU signed with the Mi'kmaw and the Metis National Council, let's take a closer look shall we , since @DarrylLeroux has brought it up again. I am going to go through this, point by point to show proof that some of these statements are verifiably false.
First point true - but they forgot to mention one other treaty which was also recognized by the Supreme Court of Canada. The La Have treaties of 1760-61. Where also formally recognized.

Leroux talking about Mi'kmaw MOU-well for starters wrong, just because the Mi'kmaw Confederation doesn't recognize Metis, does not mean the Union of Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq doesn't, or the NCNS, who used to be Metis and NonStatus Indians of Nova Scotia. #Metis

“Exploitation & Co-optation”
Those who co-opt are only there to advance self interests (usually it’s either notoriety or financial). As these “allies” seek to impose their agenda, they out themselves.
Certain folks in the struggles (usually movement “personalities”) who don’t upset the ally establishment status quo can be rewarded with inclusion in the ally industry. Ahh we see the beginning of it now. #Metis

The Jesuits gave and then in 1699 stole the land of my ancestors to Trois-Rivières. Here's the contract, and its translation:

A little over 50 years later, in 1756 Nicolas, who bore the French name "Montour", was born to a mother of the Illinois Nation, a grandmother Abenakise and a great-grandmother Algonquin.
Only one of his great grandfather was French.
Nicolas made his fortune in the fur trade out West. He came to Berthierville in 1784 where he had a son, baptized under the name Nicolas MITIF.

Many academics had already identified #Chicot as a name we #Métis called ourselves:
I'm not the one who invented the term Chicot: it's a river. Just like Red river, it's an Indigenous place name that carries knowledge that has been passed from generation to generation.

Here it is - the promised moccasin thread. This isn't intended to teach you how to make mocs. This is to demonstrate the steps and the amount of work in a pair of low moccasins - the countless hours, the skill involved, the callouses, the blood, and the presence of our ancestors.
If you think these pics will give you everything you need to make your own mocs, or some knock-off you think you can sell, all I can say is good luck. For former students or those who have the teachings, please refer to this thread for reminders of the many steps.
I am using the mocs I made for @Cree8Dawn as my demo. if you know her, please make her happy and ask to see them. 😉
The first real step is getting your vamps finished. This pic has already been posted but here it is again for this thread. #beading #métis
