#EasternMetis get called all sorts of horrible names for charging membership fee's to cover the costs of the associations. How was that different? Someone please explain it to me? Western also charged membership fee's which I will show in a moment. Stay tuned for more hypocrisy.
Derision and humiliation to Indigenous people. These are so called professionals, who are "scooping" innocent Indigenous people along in their humor who do not find it very funny. When you try and show your connection, you get blocked and self identified for you.
So by Joe's own words #WesternMetis get a pass on upgrading their jobs and education without being told this kind of bullshit !! Even after they shown they have no respect for their First Nation relatives. They still get a pass, why is that?? Please explain to me!
Joe Amyotte says when they started paying them to go to school, he had great success, even though at first he had to include white people to get the numbers up enough to get his grant. Eventually being paid caught on and people wanted to go to school .. It was a great success !!
I am not pointing this out to just be nasty. I am trying to show the similarities between different Metis cultures and regions. Again, I ask why do they get a pass and we get tossed to the nasty professor to get roasted, when #EasternMetis, get no financial benefits whatsoever!
but they used to and that history shows we were here, we have been here for a long long time.. We also used to get grants for the Metis in housing, education, recreation etc etc before the political negation campaign over our existence.
1976 - 02 - outreach program for status only - mentions Viola robinson saying she supports Metis splitting from UNSI for their own funding.
I love the refreshing honesty of this interview. Just something to think on.
