This quote from @Lyft infuriates me. This is PR speak for "we are not taking responsibility." For a company to invoke the sexual violence women already endure as an excuse for the violence its own drivers are inflicting on them is a SLEAZE move. theverge.com/2019/9/17/2087…

@lyft Anything short of @Lyft providing visibility into # of "unpairs" it takes for THEM to unpair from a driver won't cut it. Also want to know why Alison Turkos' driver wasn't immed. suspended & investigated. More details, more transparency or only thing i'll be Lyfting is a finger.

@lyft BTW, the new "safety features" Lyft & Uber have intro'ed as the result of these unconscionably idiotic mistakes on their part are just the latest example of tech arrogantly thinking it can resolve a Really Serious Problem at an app level instead of a human and/or company one.
