So: UK leaves EU but continues to rely on it for future prosperity, as guarantor of basic social standards / citizen rights and to protect peace in Northern Ireland - all (inevitably) with little say of our own? On which planet is that "better" than remaining on current terms?
"People voted leave" isn't a good enough answer anymore. A politician with principles and courage would say: the Brexit you were sold, that they had decades to plan for and years to deliver, is just a lie & a fantasy. So let's not even pretend to make the best of such a bad job

Usual hypocrisy from DUP. They were warned again & again: ANY Brexit would damage NI. But they still promoted & supported it at every turn. Now NI risks worse Brexit than EU or May proposed. And lo: DUP throwing blame / stirring anger. Blame yourselves...

Indeed! Any Brexit was bound to upset GFA and anger one or other main community in NI. But DUP championed it and attacked anyone pointing out the obvious as "Project Fear". Now it's their turn to play the victim (you bloody aren't) and to stoke the flames (you bloody hypocrites)
None of which is to deny genuine risk that Johnson's deal will prompt loyalist disorder; or to absolve English nationalists (Tory & beyond) of callous indifference to safety and stability of NI. It disgusts me that their vile Brexit might endanger my family, friends, fellow NIers

Ludicrous that HMG expects Parliament to approve revised withdrawal package & adopt such complex legislation in such short time: mockery of democratic accountability. My first read through Withdrawal Agreement Bill + here are a few comments / queries to assist with its scrutiny:
Certainly not purporting to be comprehensive / definitive! After all, doing this sort of job properly would normally take several days of intensive work just to become familiar with scheme and details of proposed legislation. But even a rough start is better than nothing, so…
1) Bill largely provides for necessary domestic implementation of revised Withdrawal Agreement. So if you support Agreement, you’ll not mind those parts of Bill. But if you oppose Agreement (divorce payments, NI Protocol etc) you’ll obviously oppose those parts of Bill too!

We all know Johnson isn't a bumbling idiot. He's devoid of morals and unceasingly devious. And this is now a very dangerous moment, through combination of several main factors:
1) Johnson has quietly dumped old Leave referendum lies and fantasies. Instead: simple new slogan of "just getting Brexit done". No accountability for all those broken promises/false expectations. But he's just as dishonest as ever: this self-inflicted misery=still in its infancy
2) to capitalise on "just get it done" narrative, Johnson has pulled contrick of "great new deal". It's just May's old Withdrawal Agreement, but with EU's original NI-only backstop instead, though with NI in worse-off position because has to run two customs regimes simultaneously

Corbyn is a (not so) secret brexiter

The largely remain Labour PLP tried to dislodge him after the referendum

He was saved by a wave of new Labour members

These new members are also overwhelmingly remainers

By saving him, they kept Brexit alive
2) these new members attack parts of the PLP for "plotting" & "undermining" Corbyn, whilst Corbyn tries to torpedo any Soft #Brexit Labour position

Only overwhelming support will force a debate on a #PeoplesVote at conference, against Corbyn's wishes
