the magic words to get doctors to listen to you are "it prevents me from doing my job"
also any lifestyle change that is not actually possible for you to make if you come up with a plausible job related reason to not be able to they will probably come up with other solutions
oh yeah, they think fucking is your job also. though im betting they're real assholes about it if you get paid for it
note: there should be no need for tricks to get doctors to listen to you and also this is not universally applicable
i have heard many other tricks and solutions including bringing extensive notes, having a (well-dressed, able-looking, cishet-passing, probably white) man sit there silently, and others. there are no guarantees on how to psychologically manipulate a doctor into doing their job
