Let's be very clear about how Trump is using racism and sexism to appeal to white supremacy:
There are over 200 members of congress who support impeachment.
In Trump's tweet, he only mentions 2 Jewish members and 4 women of color.
He calls them "SAVAGES."

So why doesn't he mention all the Christian men or white women who support impeachment?
It's because he instinctively knows his constituents will support him if he frames the debate as one between white Christian men and brown (female, Jewish) "SAVAGES."

Every time Trump gets caught breaking the law, he starts making racist statements.
This does 2 things:
1. Motivates his racist base to ignore his crime & defend the “white” tribe.
2. It distracts the media narrative from his CRIME.

I would argue that he’s doing this on purpose to prime his voters into thinking of the issue as a racist, TRIBAL issue: “white people vs. savages,” rather than a LEGAL issue “people vs. criminal,” which is what it really is.
