Truthfully, Joe, the "toleration" clause of the honor code

that often conflicts with personal loyalties. The non-toleration clause fosters and instantiates the sense of professional responsibility required of American officers. It fosters in cadets the ability to allow moral requirements to go beyond personal loyalties."
