John Shipton asked the Germans to recognize that it is in their own interest to stand up for compliance with international conventions and liberal rights: freedom of the press, freedom of expression and protection against unfounded extradition.
Die Linke MP @SevimDagdelen called on the German government to help secure better prison conditions and fair treatment for Assange. "The defense of freedom of Julian Assange is the defense of freedom itself", she said.
