It’s NOT my birthday however much it feels like it. This is the celebration of all of us on the team making the world a little bit better than we met it. It is also a challenge to most of us who are yet to commit to a work that benefits someone other than themselves.
I was moved to tears yesterday while at the orderly room trial, when the Adjudicating Officer opened the session with an admonition. He faced the petitioner & asked him to name any Nigerian living or dead who is doing/have done what @segalink has been doing in the past years.
I must tell you this man is not one given to charades. He is a DSP, a conservative one & a devout Christian. The type that cares less about earthly vanities. He quoted several verses in the Bible & said to us all, that if not for the uniform, social work is where he’ll be found.
He admonished about the words of the Apostles of Jesus Christ:

He said he knows that Nigerians while benefitting will remain humble and sing praises but once they get what they want they join mockers and haters to condemn the same people, who risked it all to save them. He said they did this to Jesus & our case will not be different.
He said he hopes Toni and his generation will understand the sacrifice and put it in proper perspective to find purpose and contribute to the work and foundation being laid.

This man may never be celebrated by the media but I will forever celebrate his integrity. Adjudicating Officer at the Provost Marshal’s Office DSP Adeyemi Adams is a rare gem and Patriot. These are the kind of heart we need in service to our Nation. He is fearless and just.
