1/ Loving the right wing fundamentalists who are up in my mentions talking about how their kids are basically their property until age 18 and thus, as parents, they have the right to teach them whatever they want free from the interference of liberals... really? Let’s see...
2/ do you have the right to teach them that the sun revolves around the earth because your cosmology says so? Or that The earth is 7000 years old Bc “the Bible says so!” No. I mean you can teach them that bullshit...but WE have the right to force them to learn science...
3/ why? Because your kids live in a society... they don’t live in your closet. To raise them in ignorance is to damage the society. Other countries don’t hobble their children with anti-scientific nonsense about a 6 day creation and Noah’s Ark and the rapture...
4/ and your ignorance effects the rest of us which is why we have a right to call bullshit on it and insist that your kids be exposed to other ideas. Then they will ultimately decide what they believe...in the end it is their choice not yours or mine. But they need full exposure
