NEW: Sondland will testify that after attending Zelensky’s inauguration in May, he met with Trump, Perry, and Volker in the Oval Office. Trump told them that any in-person meeting between Trump and Zelensky would have to be approved by Giuliani.

@GeoffRBennett @JoshNBCNews ICYMI: Indicted Giuliani associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, had a private dinner with Trump and breakfast with Don Jr and top RNC official in May – the same month Trump directed State officials to deal with Giuliani when Zelensky sought to meet Trump.

NEW: Giuliani urged Trump to eject the US, Fethullah Gulen, the Muslim cleric who Mike Flynn plotted to kidnap, a top priority of Erdogan. Trump wanted to do it, but appalled advisers blocked him. Aides worried Giuliani was doing Turkey’s bidding.

Giuliani brought up Gulen frequently with Trump during White House visits and was "so focused" on the issue, it worried senior officials. “We’re not going to arrest [Gulen] to do a solid for Erdogan.”

However, Trump was receptive to the idea

Recall, in 2016, Trump campaign official Mike Flynn plotted to kidnap Gulen and return him to Turkey for a cool $15M.

Firtash was financing Parnas and Fruman's activities.

Parnas paid Trump's free lawyer Giuliani $500K. Ergo, Firtash was financing Giuliani's dirty work for Trump in Ukraine.

Reminds me of another Firtash bagman: Trump's free campaign manager, Manafort.
Firtash was “financing” the activities of Fruman and Parnas, who paid $500,000 to Rudy Giuliani, who was working for Trump for "free."
Giuliani has met with Manafort, whose pro-Putin dirty work in Ukraine was financed by Russia mobster, Firtash, who also financed:
-Kyiv mayor Klitschko's campaign, which Giuliani advised and is now being investigated for
-Parnas and Fruman's activities

WH lawyers conducting an internal review of the Ukraine call have focused on Eisenberg and his decision to "lock down" the transcript then remain silent when he learned NSC staff had concerns about the call.
