Peaceful protest, peaceful mass sustained protest, or nonviolent resistance happens in response of a danger, the status quo not providing a need, a right, or a whole set of rights, it happens in order to bring attention to the issue(s) & actively try to create change...

...this can sometimes not be enough, ultimately what this list lays out is the progress of, the escalation of Nonviolent action or resistance, you have to become a burden, an inconvenience to the status quo or danger of the time, this is what history has shown us countless times.
History shows us that fighting to change the status quo, to secure your rights, to obtain a need, to fight something harmful and dangerous, is not only good, but also necessary, this is in fact the quickest way we progress.
Currently many of us are reaping the benefits of those who took similar Nonviolent Action, but at the same time many of us denounce these actions, the escalations, as "calling for revolution", or those advocating for it a "danger to democracy"....
....This is wrong and I understand why many of you do it, you are lead to believe that the system, the institutions reformed all on its own, but that is again not true, if it were the Women's Suffrage movement, Civil Rights movement, Stonewall Riots, etc. Wouldn't have happened..
This type of misinformation/disinformation exists all around us, just like how we see the pro-Trump, right wing, misinformation/disinformation and denounce it, we must do the same with the former.
