Vic Grassi. Forever unproblematic and he had fantastic advice & one-liners.

Debbie Novotny. A certified badass & the mother every queer child deserves.

“So the thumpa-thumpa continues. It always will, no matter what happens, no matter who’s President. As Our Lady of Disco, the Divine Miss Gloria Gaynor, has always sung to us, ‘We will survive.’”

I’m just doing 4 instead of 5 so it can all be easily done in one post.

I have to choose a couple & it’s Ted & Blake. Those 2 went through so much together & apart, and their power dynamics shifted until finally they‘re equals. @neadarmstrong @scolo

Would I be human if I didn’t choose the iconic prom scene?

Michael and Ben’s first time since I feel it held the deepest significance.

Michael and Ben without a doubt. I love the political significance and representation of their relationship.

I’ll avoid the commonly disliked pairs (i.e.: Justin/Ethan, Michael/David) & share my unpopular opinion - Emmett & Ted are far better as best friends. @scolo @ThePeterPaige

Vic. Always Vic. He deserved better.

There are a lot of good choices, but honestly, I have to choose Craig Taylor. He’s a self-righteous, holier-than-thou, son-of-a-bitch, and he’s a terrible excuse for a father.

Joan Kinney, without question. She isn’t deserving of the title ‘mother’ given that she doesn’t unconditionally love her child.

I’m most like Ted, especially in terms of low confidence, which explains why I disliked him at first. I’d love to date Ben because he’s smart, funny and compassionate.

Fav - I don’t really have one, but I’ll say Justin & Emmett because I’d like to see them more.
Least fav - Michael and Brian. They were a co-dependent nightmare.

The JR hot potato one. I hated every single one of them by the end of it, including the characters indirectly involved.

Incredibly unhealthy. Brian strings him along and Michael is wildly insensitive at times, which shows how little he understands Brian.

I’ll avoid the obvious answer of Debbie and go with Jennifer. She was out of her depth at times, especially in the beginning, but she chose to be a supportive mother and a fierce ally.

As much as I dislike the storyline, I think the Pink Posse was a necessary evil because it moved Justin’s character forward and gave his bashing closure in a way we never saw prior.
