Putin and Hungary’s Orban helped sour Trump on Ukraine.

Trump spoke with Putin by phone and met with Orban at the White House in the weeks between Zelensky’s Apr 21 election and May 20 inaugural.

Trump also spoke with Putin in Japan on Jun 28 and by phone on Jul 31, days after his Zelensky call.
