alright im gonna do it. its funny, i noticed with jobs when i have a male supervisor its so much easier to just tell them “hey, im making more money doing X, i have to leave or XYZ”, whereas when my supervisor is a woman for some reason its a lot weirder and more strenuous.
if you ever have a “random” “interchangeable cog” type job what usually happens (have often had one in conjunction with art stuff) is that you interview with a nice person who is like “of course you can work here 2/3 days a week 🙂”. but [...]
then when you start working ur under a whole other set of people who are (naturally, not through malevolence) just trying to stretch the too low number of workers over the too many hours they need to fill, so they end up taking advantage of u until you quit or “lay down the law”
i did it. already feeling power levels rising again. has been painful not having enough time to keep the studio in full capacity operation. so many comics and images and projects backed up. gonna hop in and respond to missed emails now. owen level THREE commencing imminently
