This always provokes two questions:

1. What about heroes who beat the odds? Well sure, but a better system wouldn't need them as much.
2. What makes a system good or bad? That's a different kind of question.
There is also the #herocomplex - that some people prefer dysfunctional places to work since that makes it possible to be the hero. They are bored in healthier places, so in the extreme they work against real organizational health.
