MARK OF THE BEAST MUSINGS (Revelation 13 & 14):
1/9 The essence of the “Mark of the Beast” is coercion of conscience in the name of God. The essence of the “Seal of God” is worship rendered voluntarily, motivated by love alone, in the light of God’s faithful love for us.

2/9 Prophecy foretells that Christians, on the pretext of faithfulness to God, will ban together politically to leverage their collective power to force religious requirements on the world, thus acting out the character of Satan in the name of God.
3/9 Those who live in God’s liberating love will defend the liberty of others to live out the convictions of their own conscience, thus witnessing to the true character of God as revealed in Jesus as He died at the hands of His religious persecutors without coercive retaliation.
4/9 All efforts to control, manipulate, and coerce are precursors, in principle, to the “Mark of the Beast.” By contrast, all efforts toward the cultivation of freedom, equality, and justice for all, are precursors, in principle, to the “Seal of God.”
5/9 Incrementally, one relational maneuver after another, by the exercise of love or the exertion of control, each of us is becoming the kind of person who will either support or protest the coming coercion system known to Scripture as the “Mark of the Beast.”
6/9 When a Christian leader publicly shames a fellow Christian and attempts to use his claimed faithfulness to Scripture as a demand for her compliance with his convictions, we are witnessing, in principle, the “Mark of the Beast.”
7/9 When we witness leadership within the church leveraging their authority to force, by political process and majority vote, the compliance of their fellow believers on matters of conscience, we are witnessing, in principle, the “Mark of the Beast.”
8/9 Micro aggressions in church politics that seek to overpower freedom of conscience are precursors to the great & final macro aggression that will overtake the world when the lamb-like beast of Christian America will harness its political power to enforce the Mark of the Beast.
9/9 The great controversy between good and evil boils down to FORCE VS LOVE. That’s all. Each of us, every day, in every relationship, are building into our hearts and lives one or the other of those two diametrically opposite principles.
