Watching people debate market efficiency always makes me more of a believer in market efficiency
For instance if someone is using strong form market efficiency as a straw man to attack the overall idea, you know that they aren't serious about the concept at hand

"markets are mostly efficient, and inefficient in a manner that is very difficult to exploit in a persistent manner over any reasonably judged time frame"

TheInformation has outdone even Sunday Styles with a hate read on dating in SF. Every single paragraph is 💯. Here is the lede:

I was 7 when marriage became legal in Canada. I remember exactly where I was when my dad sat me down and told me that there was something important happening in our country, and that he thought I was old enough to learn about it.
My parents were under the impression that I didn’t know that same-sex couples existed. This was the first of many times where I believed that my parents thought I was dumb. Two of their closest friends were gay and were fixtures at our house for Christmas and birthdays.

2/ This extract is an irritating straw man that advocates of quick and dirty trade deals keep making – that “chlorinated chicken” issue is all about the safety of chlorine. It isn’t.
3/ Firstly it’s primarily about the safety of the chicken, not chlorine – has the treatment (chlorine or otherwise) eliminated the presence of otherwise harmful pathogens. By the way. there is some recent research that suggests not:
