Interesting post by @ataussig on why he bought Shopify shares. Thinks the key for SHOP increasing its take rate as % of GMV transacted through the platform is getting into demand gen for merchants.

@ataussig which is why I found this post by @onecaseman so interesting, because someone with experience in combing demand gen with B2B facing tools says the odds are long on getting it right
@ataussig @onecaseman No matter how many tools you provide SMBs, they ultimately need customers to survive. Reducing the natural churn from SMBs dying would greatly improve SHOP LTVs. Given the nature of aggregation on the internet, they are well positioned, and incentivized, to figure demand gen out.
