To no great surprise except for those who listened to / saw the Government's scandalously misleading 'Get Ready for Brexit' adverts. Business and individuals as collateral damage for a self-obsessed PM and Government.
I think using the word flextension is just Tusk's little joke given he knows the state of UK politics
Things that won't happen #1: Boris Johnson apologises to the country for misleading them about the Brexit date, and takes full responsibility
Things that won't happen #2: Johnson states that instead of an election to add more uncertainty he will actually give Parliament the next month to debate the Brexit deal and determine whether they support it, or if not what they would support
Things that won't happen #3: Labour communicates a clear position on Brexit.
In order to fail to leave the EU on October 31st the Government threatened not to talk to the EU till they dropped the backstop, prorogued Parliament illegally, failed to get Labour support for an election, dumped Northern Ireland unionists, and spent £100m on misleading ads.
Oh yes, Government also failed to persuade Parliament to waive their right to scrutinise the deal in a few days, and to waive their rights to properly scrutinise the next phase of the deal. And held a Queens Speech so unnecessary they want to abandon it and have an election.
And yet they've still won the communications battle, for at this point the incompetence of the government may not be as great as the incompetence of the opposition.

Shouldn't we start planning the extension from Jan 2020 now, just so we don't have to go through this again? Then we could all have an extended Christmas break...
Turns out we should plan the next extension now. I mean I know it's radical and what nobody wants, but perhaps MPs could actually be given proper time to debate, y'know, the actual deal the government reached, rather than trying to ruin our Christmas?
