Another crazy day awaits in UK politics. This was my thought as well - presumably very difficult for SNP and Lib Dems to vote against amendments on votes at 16 / EU citizens which could then mean bill fails. But don't underestimate what both have to gain from an election.
If there's an election big question on outcome is the extent to which Labour can very quickly stop fighting itself and to a degree the LDs to focus on preventing Conservatives winning.
I suspect some very distorted version of future UK trade policy would feature prominently in an election - Labour to go hard against a US trade deal and particularly the NHS, Conservatives to sell the global Britain vision of future trade deals
