The men who served with Bill Taylor in Vietnam and at tough diplomatic postings overseas have been enraged watching the president and the White House attack him.
2/ GEN (ret) and Ambassador Karl Eikenberry: "Bill always volunteered for the tough posting - in combat with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, Afghanistan, Gaza, the difficult spots in the Middle East."
3/ GEN Eikenberry adds pointedly that Taylor's "integrity and courage are the true marks of patriotism, loyal to an oath of office and never to be corrupted or intimidated by those seeking personal gain at our Nation's expense."
