1/n White Democrats are significantly more likely to say that they derive meaning and fulfillment from supporting social/political causes than Republicans. 
2/n And those that derive at least some meaning from supporting causes are significantly more likely (white dems: 51%->72%; white non-dem: 20%->32%) to feel that the US needs to continue 'making changes' to give blacks equal rights with whites.
