Published ad rates give an impartial way to put dollar values on things like accounts, posts, and followers.

We can estimate how much two combatants got paid* for brawling on Twitter, the right price of a username, or the economic impact of deplatforming.

These are also very useful numbers to know for calibrating crypto social networks.

Not just today’s ad rates, but the old ones when the networks were small.

They give empirical prices that people are willing to pay to gain various kinds of exposure.
