EFCC Detains16 LG Chair for Fraud

Sixteen Local Government Chairmen of Kwara State are presently being interrogated by the Ilorin Zonal Office of the EFCC over alleged misappropriation of part of N4 billion (Four Billion Naira) Loan & ten percent of State IGR.

The Local Government Chairmen include,  Risikat Opakunle, Saidu Yaru Musa, Umar Belle, Ayeni Dallas, Fatai Adeniyi Garba, Lah Abdulmumeen, Raliat Funmi Salau, Aminat Omodara, Muyiwa Oladipo.
Others are, Oladipo Omole, Abdullahi Abubakar Bata, Saka Eleyele, Lateef Gbadamosi, Oni Adebayo Joseph,  Omokanye Joshua Olatunji and Jibril Salihu.

Naira Marley’s trial stalled as Defense Demands More Documents

The trial of Afeez Adesina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley before Justice I. Nicholas Oweibo sitting in Federal High Court Ikoyi, Lagos was stalled today, Tuesday, October 22, 2019...
...as the defense counsel brought in a “motion on notice” asking the prosecution to front load more documents.

The Nigeria artiste, Afeez Adesina Fashola was arraigned, on May 20, 2019 on an 11-count charge of credit card fraud preferred against him by the EFCC.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to all the charge leading to the commencement of trial.

The EFCC, Lagos office, has arrested a renowned Social Media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha popularly known as Mompha for an alleged involvement in internet related fraud and money laundering.
The suspect, a premium and first class customer of one of the popular international airlines, was arrested on Friday 18, October 2019 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on his way to Dubai Emirate following series of intelligence reports received by the Commission
According to the EFCC operatives, “actionable cross border intelligence received from collaborative law enforcement agencies about his alleged involvement in the criminal activities further strengthened our suspicion”.

The Gombe Zonal Office of the EFCC on Thursday, October 17, 2019, arrested 26 suspects for allegedly producing adulterated palm oil by mixing some quantity of palm oil with unknown substances...
...selling same to the public as genuine palm oil in the Gombe main market.
The suspects are: Yahaya Sanusi, Mohammed Abubakar, Nasiru Bappa, Bello Ahmed, Emeka Oppah, Theophilus Samuel, Auwalu Abubakar, Monday John, Chindo Garba, Mohammed Umar, Dauda Mohammed and Anas Musa C.
Others are Umar Friday, Abbayo Musa, Hamisu Mohammed, Ali Garba Inuwa Auwal, Tukur Adamu, Ahmad Usman, Emmanuel Etuk, Auwal Iliya, Ejike Samuel, Peter Ndubuisi, Babangida Yerima, Giginna Alphonsus and Usman Musa.
