I'm listening to the audiobook of Marc Morris's The Norman Conquest & am currently learning about the events which led up to it. It is a story of individual "nobles" & their families pursuing their OWN, largely material, self-interests. 
These personal self-interests are rationalised & equated with some higher, national or divine self-interest, but the peasants are treated with contempt, a human resource to serve in nobles' armies or work their fields, to be pillaged & abused at their whim.
The inequality was institutional & hardly distinguishable form that between slave & master. Indeed, many slaves were, I suspect, better treated by their masters than many peasants were by their lords. And at the time, few seem to have even questioned this inequality.
Over the past 1000 years, things have changed for the better, but not as much as supposed. There is no equality between the rich & the poor. Human beings are still treated as a human resource, only now economics & politics demand they also be seen as consumers & clients/voters.
Individuals continue to pursue their own personal self-interests, while rationalising it as serving the interests of society at large, which, on our finite, vulnerable & overpopulated planet, can ultimately only lead to society's self-destruction.
Now, as then, the whole system is based on lies, deceit & a regime of rewards & intimidation, which academics fail to recognise, because to do so would undermine their own self-interests as favoured clients & employees of the state.
It's no good attacking academics on this account, which will only cause them to cling more doggedly to the state & status quo on which they depend. They can only be red-pilled & won over to the nationalist/identitarian cause, which is also the cause of all humanity.
The vast majority of academics believe nationalism & identitarianism to be their sworn enemy, but only because they identify with the state, which nationalism & identitarianism are indeed a challenge to.
Who else can challenge the lies, deceit, & regime of rewards & intimidation on which #TheMatrix of state & capital is based, if not nationalists & identitarians?
I want a Reformation of the #SocialSciences, which, in overreaction to the evils of Nazism, are leading society into an Orwellian nightmare with their own ideology of post-racial multiculturalism & DIVERSITY, based, as it is, on denial & suppression of evolved human nature.
It's such a simple mistake, but with profound consequences, which will destroy our civilisation, unless quickly corrected. We have to understand & learn to work with the grain of evolved human nature, incl. human tribalism, instead of demonising it.
