• Jan gives GOP senators more time to rebuild for 2020 elections
• Feb takes Dem POTUS candidates off the hustings
• The real show is drafting & debating articles
• Court decisions pending

WTF? @NYTimes does a hit piece on Biden & leaves out the most important part: Biden is too old & it shows. His mind is going. Dems need a sharp, effective campaigner more than ever. Don’t kid yourself. Age matters to voters. It always has; Always will.

BUT his campaign is trying to deflect & make excuses:
"He has long been prone to misspeaking" give me ZERO confidence.
And, "his doctor said that he was in 'excellent physical condition.'” Umm... how about mental??

1. House Dems can #ImpeachTrumpNow with their majority. No more evidence is required.

2. Senate Republicans will almost certainly vote to acquit.

3. Trump will be impeached for history but not removed.

4. Dems can then focus on sweeping in 2020.

The only remote possibility of Trump leaving office early is if #McConnell and other GOP leaders think he's too much of a liability to their rightwing power grab and push him to resign.

Arguments for waiting to schedule a vote are:

1. Gather more facts.
2. Exert more pressure.
3. Get more evidence against his accomplices.

None of those outweigh the fact that he harms people every day and #impeachment is an urgent moral imperative.

The argument against impeaching Kavanaugh strikes me as very similar to the argument against impeaching Trump. "If the Senate won't convict, why bother?"
But it's not at all clear to me that, say, a series of 2022 House hearings on Kavanaugh's alleged sexual assaults, financial misdeeds, and perjuries, culminating in an impeachment vote and Senate trial, would be a political boon for the GOP.
The Republicans pushed Kavanaugh through because they knew that time and attention were working against them—if they thought the allegations against him were harming the Dems without imperiling GOP votes to confirm, they would have let them drag on.

Ballot Harvesting: in calif corrupt democrats (funded by silent billionaires from other countries) 1st made up new laws 2 allow this practice, then spent millions going door-door in low income/immigrant neighborhoods 1 year before the mid terms & gave out gift cards etc
To the entire neighborhood & said all you have 2 do 2 receive these gifts is give us your ballot in 1 year almost every person they registered 2 vote (illegal or not all they needed was ID/DL) handed over their BLANK ballot 2 the dem rep 1 yr later! These were all used to
Vote 4 the dem candidate running 4 office. In Orange,ca a red city stronghold the current rep on election night had a 22% lead & was announced the winner. 11 days later the mail ins were counted & she lost 2 a freshman dem by 8%! WTF! This republican was an Asian woman

A note on #impeachment -

In a court of law, under non-presidential circumstances, impeachment is a tool litigation attorneys use to discredit the opposing side's witnesses at trial. When said witness takes the stand under oath attys. present evidence contrary to what the witness
claims. This weakens the other side's case by discrediting impeached witnesses's testimony. Once a witness has been impeached - by presentment of inconsistent testimony - the judge/jury can no longer use the impeached witnesses's testimony in reaching a verdict.
Simply put, they aren't trustworthy. In the case of Presidential impeachment that broad definition of impeachment applies, but the impeachment tool is used for a very different purpose. Under the Constitution, a sitting President cannot be tried in a court of law for anything.
