Ayodhya unanimous verdict: the SC judgement is strictly legal and constitutional without getting into religious issues or rhetoric. It is a lesson in judicial wisdom and statesmanship. It solves the problem that festered over several centuries and divided India.
The SC has established by evidence that (1)Hindus had believed it to be Rama's birth place; (2) Hindus were in possession of the outer courtyard of the structure since 1858; (3) Hindus worshipped from prior to 1857
The SC has decided the title in favour of Hindus. Because the worship of rights of Muslims were interfered with while the Ramjanmabhoomi and the surrounding areas go to the Hindus, to do justice to Muslims 5 acres of land has to be given to them within Ayodhya city.
The govt will constitute a trust to construct temple and hand over the land to that trust. The land will be handed over to Hindus when the 5 acre land is handed over to the Hindus.
The unanimity in the SC judgement is a demonstration of the capacity of the judicial leadership to lead the independent minds even in such a complicated and highly sensitive case to unified view. That the outgoing CJI could do it shows his strength and leadership
