A few key points for those who stand with the Jews.

Zionism is the right to self determination of the Jewish people. That's it.

A movement of national liberation for a people who have been historically oppressed, expelled or slaughtered by host nations.
Israel is tiny. It is the size of Wales or New Jersey. It is difficult to find Israel on the map. It exists in a sea of Muslim majority nations, that are almost all undemocratic and run by monarchs or despots. On two of its borders sit radical Islamic terror groups.
Israelis are free. All of them. Regardless of their race, religion, gender or sexual orientation - Israelis live in the most free and liberal nation in the entire region. The 3rd largest political party is Arab - Israel's justice minister is openly gay.
Israelis are not 'European'. The great -great- great- great grandfather of the majority of Israelis was born inside the Middle East North African region. If you think you can walk Israel's streets and see who is Jewish and who is Arab - you are wrong.
In an area of near homogeneous oppressive Muslim domination, democratic Jewish self-rule stands out - and has been the target of hate for 100 years. The idea of two states evolved because in the 1920s & 1930s Arabs would not stop their violence against their Jewish neighbours.
When Jewish refugees arrived they stole neither land nor property. Every piece of land that a Jewish person lived in or worked - was purchased - often at high prices. The lie of 'theft' is the racism of the haters talking ('immigrants steal homes and jobs')
The 'Nakba' was in fact a civil war - that the Arabs WANTED, STARTED and LOST. It also wasn't a massacre - a similar amount of Jews and Arabs died in the civil conflict - even before 5 Arab armies invaded in an attempt to wipe the Jews out.
As a national identity 'Palestinian' was only adopted and used by Arabs to oppose Jews and Zionism. If the Jews had not sought the right to self-determination - and the Arabs had not opposed it - there would probably be no people calling themselves Palestinian today.
The hate has created absurd arguments. A descendant of a Jewish family who have lived in Tzfat for 1000 years is considered by Israel's enemies an 'invader' just because he is Jewish- someone who arrived from Bosnia in 1890 is considered indigenous - just because they are Muslim.
Israelis have sought peace since day one. Many offers have been rejected by the Arabs. The Oslo process - that was designed to lead to a two-state solution - was met by a brutal terror campaign. Israelis shook Arafat's hand and their buses started exploding.
The enemies of Israel do not seek peace with Israel - they seek to destroy it. Those people who say they 'support peace' - often regard those that have made peace - like Egypt - and those who have negotiated with Israel - like the PA - as traitors.
BDS views those that want dialogue as traitors. BDS views those who have made peace as traitors. BDS aligns directly with the goals of radical Islamist terror groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah - that have always rejected Jewish self determination behind any borders.
Enemies of Israel often say they are doing it for 'human rights'. The most oppressed Palestinians are not under Israeli control at all. They are in Lebanon, Syria or under Hamas rule in Gaza. In Lebanon there is a real Apartheid system - in Gaza their is no press freedom at all.
The Arab side STILL teaches awful anti-Jewish racism in school and STILL entices and rewards those that kill Jews. Policies like 'pay for slay' which rewards those who commit terror attacks actually pays you more - the more Jews you kill.
Things are not perfect in Israel - they are not perfect anywhere. Enemies of Israel use Israel's flaws by placing them under a microscope, taking them out of context and pretending they are worse than they are. In a region of Iran, Assad, Hamas and Hezbollah - this is absurd.
Yes, there is a conflict - yes it is complex - and yes we need to find a solution. But there is a difference between wanting to find peace and siding with those who seek to destroy Israel. Too many haters leave the truth behind. Don't let them.
