I am genuinely fascinated by the people who think they have more of a claim to a business owner’s revenue than the actual business owner — and who believe their greed is virtuous somehow because they didn’t actually earn said revenue.

It reminded me of the story discussing how socialism’s poster child, Bernie, once said he didn’t believe in charity washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/editor…
Going by publicly published info, it seems those who want to limit gov’t power choose to themselves steward the less fortunate while those who trust gov’t over the individual believe in outsourcing their stewardship via gov’t with less in monetary donations
It’s just very difficult to believe that the gov’t can take care of those in need better than the private sector — with a great example this Veterans’ Day being the travesty of the VA, where it was reported 300k vets died while waiting for care military.com/daily-news/201…
This is why so many don’t believe socialists’ lamentations about helping the poor because the most famous among them are inconsistent in its practice — but have demonstrated a devoted consistency in redistribution to attain greater power.
It has never been about stewarding those less fortunate, it’s only ever been about accumulating power through exploitation of the poor.
For those who prefer class warfare, when my mom and I couldn’t afford groceries, when she didn’t know how she was going to pay the gas bill, it wasn’t socialists who helped, it was the church, the business owner, members of our own humble family, and her own grit.
