I spent all day with awesome, patriotic men in Texas who served in World War II, Korea, & Vietnam - only to return to the awful virtual world of “news” in which I learn that my alma mater, @UVA, is so filled with pathetic losers that it cannot handle a 21-gun salute... (1/x)
...which is so indescribably silly that I did not believe it to be true. But it is, in fact, true - making @thedailynu the big winner because it now, by comparison to @UVA, looks like William the Conqueror despite tossing journalism out the window in favor of “feelings...” (2/x)

Leaders such as the man I met today in Boerne, Texas who was hit with shrapnel at D-Day... got bandaged up... fought through Omaha Beach... got hit with tank fire, and was knocked out for 6 weeks before waking up in England at a hospital... (4/x)
...And then, after surgery to repair his intestines... ended up back out and was a guard at Nuremberg. THAT is what a leader looks like. If UVa cannot move past the current “safe space” culture and focus on instilling a culture of fighting for freedom &... (5/x)
