It is going to be beholden on our press to scrutinise with vigour the actions of political campaigns because the same paltry fines and powers remain unaltered despite now numerous recommendations from select committees, many outstanding since 2014.

I don’t think this is a complete explanation but it is a perfectly reasonable one.

At least it is deserving of reading and some quiet reflection.
It is true that Labour were invited to join an electoral arrangement and refused.

It is also true that Labour’s official policy is to renegotiate Brexit and to offer it in a referendum with zero commitment to campaigning for Remain. Just “an option”.
If that level of uncertainty is unacceptable to you, bearing in mind that the strong evidence from polling is that people have had enough and will accept a bad Brexit rather than delay, are you sure you want to vote for further delay and uncertainty?

Why do people support Boris Johnson's Brexit deal? | YouGov

Only 39% supported Johnson’s deal and, of those, only 2% think it is a good deal.

By far the greatest reason for accepting is “To Get Brexit Done” tapping into the frustration, “sick of it”

I have to say to proceed with any Brexit on this basis is nothing short of grossly irresponsible.

For those who say a Referendum is better than Revoke, people aren’t going to thank you for dragging this on and on and on.
Just 2% think it is a good deal.

2% FGS.

And people KNOW how dangerous another referendum is going to be.

They KNOW it is a Linus blanket to remainers. Makes them feel better about revoking.

Leavers don’t want one.

They would rather someone else made the final decision.
