It's been a busy week, and I was off Monday, so I'd missed this very important thread from @JohnFPfaff about a completely absurd, offensive speech that Jeffrey Rosen, the No. 2 official at @TheJusticeDept, gave last Friday.
There are few lawyers in America LESS qualified to assess the state of criminal justice in America than DAG Rosen. He has never been a criminal law lawyer, let alone a prosecutor, yet here he was explaining why he's sure all of the experts are wrong. judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/…

Ray Cromartie is scheduled to be executed TONIGHT by Georgia.

The question pending before #SCOTUS relates to the lack of DNA testing. The issue before the justices, though, is blunt: "If a stay is not granted, an innocent man may be executed." supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/19/1…

The idea that we just found out today that Stephen Miller is a despicable racist who should not be serving in government, let alone the White House, is laughable, but, hey, if this is what it takes, OK.
Reread what I wrote. I didn’t say this isn’t much WORSE. What I said is that what we knew ~before~ today’s reporting was more than enough for me to say he shouldn’t be working in the White House. I also said that if this damning evidence is what it takes for others, then good.

1) There’s a lot of BS about @nntaleb’s Black Swan, antifragility & skin in da game. Let’s take the gloves off and get into trouble.
2) When the Swan flew out, it was immediately butchered by imbeciles not understanding that you can’t predict the unpredictable.
