It's been a busy week, and I was off Monday, so I'd missed this very important thread from @JohnFPfaff about a completely absurd, offensive speech that Jeffrey Rosen, the No. 2 official at @TheJusticeDept, gave last Friday.
There are few lawyers in America LESS qualified to assess the state of criminal justice in America than DAG Rosen. He has never been a criminal law lawyer, let alone a prosecutor, yet here he was explaining why he's sure all of the experts are wrong. judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/…

In August 2013, US District Judge Shira Scheindlin issued her ruling in the case challenging NYC's "stop and frisk" policy. The decision followed a nine-week trial. The policy @MikeBloomberg vigorously defended until today was unconscionable. ccrjustice.org/sites/default/…
