I keep seeing this in my timeline. It's not true, of course. Seriously, people, have you no experience with the "Twitter outrage machine"? Do you not know how this sort of disinformation works????
The bill doesn't say "2 + 2 = 5 because God says so".
It says it's okay to write "2 + 2 = 4, if Allah wills is (inshalah)".
The only correct answer is still "4".

The bill removes the provision that religion can only be practiced at recess and lunch. I assume this is a nod to Islam, allowing students to pray when their religion dictates rather than during lunch/recess.
Activists, doing what activists do, promote an obviously distorted view of the bill. Somebody rights an article giving credence to that interpretation. Then this interpretation goes viral on Twitter.
I pretend is about math and Islam, but of course we all know it's about evolution and creationists. You still have to give the right answers on tests about evolution. That the dinosaurs died out 60 million years ago is still the right answer and not the earth is 10,000 years old.
The bill says you can believe the earth is only 10,000 years old because the Bibles say so, but you still have to give the correct answer on the test. In principle, this isn't bad. Schools aren't indoctrinating you in a belief system, but educating you what scientists believe.
In other words, the best theory scientists can come up with that explains the heaping mounds of evidence is that the dinosaurs died out 60mil years ago. You are being tested on understanding the best prevailing scientific theories. You are free to believe in a different theory.
I said "in principle" because I ultimately agree with you that such provisions in the law are heaping piles of garbage, and that creationism is for dumbfucks. But this is no excuse for our side to behave badly.
