Jeremy Corbyn pretends to be outraged at the number of Palestinian children in prisons.

Number of Palestinians under 14 in custody: 2
Number of youths 10-14 in British custody: 31

Number of Pals 16 and under in custody: 22
Number of youths 16 and under in British custody: 396
And the kids in British custody are subject to widespread sexual abuse - 1000 reports in 8 years. theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/f…

For someone who wants to be PM, Corbyn has some interesting priorities.
While it is true that the 14 year olds are usually placed in "secure children's homes," the vast majority of youths in custody in the UK - about 75% - are in "Young Offender Institutions" which are simply prisons with forced schooling.

Pompeo is right. The supposed "illegality" of settlements allows the Palestinians to not work towards peace, They have been sitting back for more than a decade hoping for some international body to hand them the West Bank. They've refused peace offers. This strategy is a failure.
Israel doesn't want to rule Palestinian Arabs. If the legal threat is removed, it gives both parties a chance to actually negotiate and make some choices - if Palestinians really want a state.
I'm sure Europe is not on board with this, and in fact the Palestinians have been able to rely on the EU to be a more reliable ally in this issue than the Arab states themselves. But that position is eroding, and it cannot happen soon enough.

He wants to redirect aid to Israel to Gaza.

Do you think he (or the audeince) knows that Israel has quietly allowed thousands of Gazans to commute to jobs in Israel every day and is increasing that?
@BernieSanders @jstreetdotorg Do you think he knows that even with the Rafah crossing mostly open, far more Gazans travel to and through Israel than Egypt?

Do you think he knows that the idea that Israel blocks innocent items to Gaza has not been true for a decade?

Gaza is an awful place, but Israel is not the major problem. Hamas is.

How many times have we seen this happen?

A company (or sports team) drops an Israel-related partner after BDSers threaten them.

When pro-Israel crowd asks them about it, they say it wasn't because of BDS pressure, but just normal business.

It's hard to know whether the company is telling the truth. More often than not, BDSers lie, but sometimes their threats spook weak-willed companies.

So BDSers claim victory - even though the companies deny they have any problem with Israel.

If a company doesn't say out loud that they joined the call to boycott Israel, then what real victory was there for BDS? All it proves is that they are bullies.

And, possibly, that their targets are wimps.

Falling for BDS pressure never makes a company look good...
