Written responses to Congress carry the same legal weight as oral testimony: providing knowingly false information that impairs the investigation would constitute a crime.
FWIW: The House Intelligence Committee is declining to comment on Trump's consideration of written answers.

Per the Times, the IG report also indicates that MIFSUD is *not* an FBI informant and no evidence from CIA or Steele Dossier were used to open Russia probe -- a claim Trump and allies have made for years. nytimes.com/2019/11/22/us/…

IMPORTANT: U.S. intel agencies recently warned senators that the suggestion Ukraine interfered in the 2016 election is really a Russian operation to muddy questions about what Moscow did.

In particular, Russia seized on actual occurences -- some scattershot efforts by embassy officials and lawmakers to criticize Trump or Manafort -- and mixed them with conspiracy theories about a government-wide plot.

1⃣ The environmental principles currently guaranteed under 🇪🇺 law *must* carry the same legal weight as they do now. Draft clauses says Gov't should "have regard to" but we know that leaves too much wiggle room. This must change. 2/6
2⃣ Those key principles won't apply to any public spending decision or 'any other matter' specified by Government - a truly absurd caveat to vital rules protecting our oceans, wildlife and animals. This Get Out of Jail Free card must go. 3/6

Trump Administration "is not considering supporting a referendum in the eastern Ukraine. The Minsk Agreements are the process for resolving the conflict in the Donbas, and these agreements do not include any option for referendum," says NSC Spokesman, Garrett Marquis.
