And you immediately speak your support for the man who you now see as a victim. Then it’s time to consider your male privilege or internalized sexism.

Similarly, when you read a critique of bias against Black and Brown women, and that makes you think it’s unfair to the white people and specific person benefiting from the bias, then it’s time to check your white privilege.

All of us who have broken our backs helping to flip the house in 2018 and to lift up Democratic candidates see you and hear you. And we don’t appreciate it one bit. Step up and join the cause. Stop shaming people who speak out against sexism and racism.
