Meat is healthy.
Meat is not the cause of disease.
The cause of disease?
JUNK FOOD (and smoking/drugs/being obese).
Meat is not junk food.
I'll give you seven reasons why.
Alright, time to upset loads of people:
Why?
Because protein is THE most satiating macro per calorie. It's also chewy as f***.
Compare steak to a protein shake. Steak wins.
You will eat less calories. You'll be happier to do so. You'll burn more fat.
Next:
The NUMBER 1 risk of not eating meat from a body composition standpoint (ignoring the nutrition deficiencies) is:
Lack of protein.
Lack of protein = no muscle gain.
You've GOT TO hit your protein target.
Next:
Meat (especially red meat) has a ridiculous amount:
- Iron
- The B Complex
- Zinc
- Potassium
- Healthy Fats
Very, VERY important.
You don't want to miss out on these.
Next:
Seriously.
Two of your biggest threats as you age are:
A) Muscle loss
B) Obesity
Provided you train hard, meat helps you to avoid both.
You'll look better.
You'll perform better.
You'll live a lot longer.
Next:
Not higher, LOWER.
An awful lot of this is due to lower inflammation rates from avoiding junk food.
Again, JUNK FOOD is the issue here, not meat.
+ More muscle
+ Less fat
+ Nutritional abundance
Are all major factors here, in addition to:
- AVOIDING JUNK FOOD
Next:
Which is incredibly helpful when it comes to staying lean and keeping your body fat down.
Seriously guys:
If YOU are >20% bf and you're insisting on NOT eating meat, you're being irrational and you're making life SO MUCH harder for yourself.
Finally:
*Age better
*Kill your Dad Bod
*Stay lean for life
