Zuckerberg says, "it’s really important that people can see for themselves” which is of course true but very highly misleading. 1
Facebook is NOT a broadcast medium. It’s a very narrowcasting one. That means that what you see is very different from what I see. 2
But FB and the people who use it (incl me) still IMAGINE that what they see is pretty much what others see. 3
It’s really hard to comprehend how different FB looks to different political facets. It’s one of those illusions like the difference between a million and a billion. The difference is HUGE. 4
So it’s very disingenuous for Zuckerberg to defend himself by saying he’s against censorship. Facebook is one giant censorship MACHINE. 5
