So - what does the book cover?

It starts with austerity. From Grenfell to the government's disgusting treatment of the disabled to the work programme to universal credit. And it explains how austerity is based on not one, not two, but THREE gigantic lies. (You'll have to read the book to see what those are).

It moves on to examine our appalling, disproportionate beyond belief, not fit for purpose electoral system, in a chapter which also highlights the Lib Dems' disgraceful propping up of the Tories and their behaviour during this election campaign.

Then, the opinion pollsters come under the microscope, as I examine how wrong they were in 2015, and the reasons behind Ed Miliband's sad defeat. In turn, that leads to a full explanation of why Corbyn rose: factors which so many commentators remain oblivious to even now.

Via the 2017 general election campaign, featuring alarming levels of, let's put it kindly, confirmation bias from the media and pollsters alike, we move on to Brexit: in a chapter which does several things.

First, it explores the very real, good reasons behind the EU's unpopularity in the UK and elsewhere in Europe. Plenty of Leave voters had perfectly principled reasons for wanting out.

But as I highlight, almost none of the things which impacted terribly on southern Europe applied in the UK. Those countries had austerity imposed upon them by the disaster of the euro. We controlled our monetary supply throughout; we had austerity imposed on us by the Tories.

It covers the referendum campaign: what a joke Remain truly were, how it had no positive arguments whatsoever, while all the emotive ones were monopolised by Leave... before moving on to explore the very dark side of the referendum. Lies, dark money, Cambridge Analytica, Putin.

Then we come to what I guess we could call my specialist subject: antisemitism, and its disgusting weaponisation for nakedly political purposes. So I do something apparently no journalist in the country is prepared to do: I explore real, actual data.

I discuss the problems with the IHRA examples; with the media's absurd coverage of all this, and focus especially on the Jewish Chronicle's rather, um, selective treatment of antisemitism. I also alert readers to the shameful harassment of pro-Corbyn, pro-Labour Jews.

I've written about this topic before, of course. This chapter is completely reworked, and features a ton of new information. It's imperative as many people as possible - including many of my fellow Jews who are fearful of a Corbyn administration - can read about it.

Then, it's on to the post-referendum paralysis of British politics. The constant lies about Corbyn's Brexit position; the laughing stock that was Change UK; increasingly dubious polls; before a long section about the corruption of the BBC. Again, people need to see that.

The conclusion, though, provides a reminder that real change is in our grasp. All the British people have to do is reach out and take it. So I explore the manifesto, and explain why I fell in so strongly behind Corbyn, in the hope that others can do likewise.

But this, dear followers, is where I need your help, big time. I've written this book specifically to try and help Labour win the election. I may be thousands of miles away, but I love my country; it's in my blood. This is my contribution to trying to help it recover.

I know all authors must say this, but I cannot overstate how important it is that as many people as possible read what the book sets out. A lot of the public will be shocked. But as I believe in this annoying thing called evidence, it's jam packed with hyperlinks and sources.

Plus, of course, there is no time to lose. People need the chance to read this before December 12, not after it. So - what can you do to help?

1. Buy the book! Given how many Labour members and supporters I have among my followers, I promise it'll be the second best 3 quid you've ever spent.

2. Retweet this thread far and wide. I apologise for asking for that, but it's in the best possible cause: a Labour government.

3. Tell your friends, tell your family, spread the word as far as you can. The reasons why Britain needs Labour are all right here in the book; I can promise you that.

4. Unfortunately, while words are generally my friend, design definitely isn't. The cover is too small and looks embarrassing. If anyone has any experience designing book covers, please DM me. I'll send you a free book if you can help.

A fully updated ebook and paperback version will be out days after the election. Doing a paperback now would've been a total hostage to fortune... plus, I have footnotes to add. You wouldn't believe how many!

Incidentally, I completely understand why some of you must be concerned about the platform I've chosen. With regard to which, it's like this:

1. I came up with the idea for this a month ago. Far too late to approach a different publisher; and I don't have the money to do that.

2. Kindle Direct Publishing is an amazing service. It can be so, so difficult to break in to the publishing world; it's so often about who someone knows, not what they know. Thanks to KDP, I've been able to self-publish, and it's instantly available at the click of a button.

3. Obviously, if the book does as well as I hope, I'll be able to approach other publishers in future.

4. And well, in time, maybe Corbyn will bring down the system from within, so to speak? But there's a bigger picture here basically.

Namely: that we have 9 days and counting to win this election; the most important election Britain's faced since the war. The crossroads it's reached could not be more stark: real hope and change in one direction, darkness descending in the other.

So get out there, campaign, knock on doors, do whatever you can to help elect a Labour government. And once you've bought the book and read it, if you like it, please leave reviews on Amazon's website. That'd really really help, and be hugely appreciated.
