Step 1: Solitude powers focus.
Get away from everything.
Then ask one question:
What goal will truly move me forward if I pursue it?
👇
1. Make the goal big enough to challenge you but NOT so big that it overwhelms you.
2. Make it close enough that you can reach it but NOT so close that it's not a stretch.
3. Make sure it excites you but is sufficiently meaningful that it will move you forward.
1. Make it clear & visible.
2. Make it your phone and computer screensaver.
3. Put it on the wall in your room.
4. Visualize the end result. Get there (in your mind) before you get there.
Here comes the difficult part.
1. Study (don't just read) everything required to make it work.
2. Identify the key steps.
3. Identify the MOST IMPORTANT step and focus on it.
4. Create a plan of attack.
Put in the tough work required to attain your goal.
Study like crazy for the exam, work extra hours on the business, spend more time with the person...
The work will produce little result initially, then it will come together in an avalanche of success.
Develop a model for tracking your results.
Your tracking mechanism is unique to you but it's probably the most important element in the goal setting process.
How do I measure progress on the goal?
Should I measure monthly or quarterly?
I think I will put together a seminar/webinar to explain these steps in detail.
