One of the first things Trump did in office was weaken regs that required energy companies to disclose bribes paid to foreign govts, and his administration has sought repeatedly to cut aid programs tasked with combating corruption around the world, including in....Ukraine

As Democrats stand poised to give Trump his biggest policy victory in 2 years, it's important to remember that during the Obama years, Republicans would vote against anything—even bills *they had co-sponsored*—if Obama came out in support of the bills.
Barely a year into Obama's presidency, he was pushing a deficit task force that had been championed by Senators Conrad (D) and Gregg (R). The bill failed because six of its Republican co-sponsors....voted against it politico.com/story/2010/01/…

Trump says he held up military aid to Ukraine because of concerns he had over corruption in the country.

Meanwhile, the IMF just approved a $5.5 billion loan to Ukraine, recognizing the progress the country has made fighting corruption nytimes.com/2019/12/08/wor…
Remember, this squares with the assessment of Trump's own Pentagon. As a DoD official testified last month, top-level national security officials "expressed unanimous support for resuming the funding," citing Ukraine's *progress fighting corruption.*
The same official confirmed that two months before Trump's call with Zelensky and before the freeze was put in place, the Pentagon had determined that Ukraine had met the requirements for combatting the very corruption that Trump claimed he was concerned about.

DOJ says hedge fund Sculptor Capital Management, formerly known as Och-Ziff, should pay $150 Million to the victim investors in Och Ziff's bribery scheme.

The victim investors are former equity holders of Africo Resources, a Canadian mining company.

Africo Resources held the rights to an undeveloped mine in the DRC that was part of a previous settlement that prosecutors struck with Och Ziff back in 2016.
Africo had lost control of the mine because infamous crook Dan Gertler massively bribed DRC officials using Och Ziff investment funds.

Is there ANY other source for these "It was all Rosenstein's idea!" claims that RR alone came up with this novel approach to bugging the President & then using the 25th Amendment to throw him out of office?

Just asking because it sounds like MCCABE is the *only* source for this
Rosenstein is a highly intelligent, disciplined, calculating federal prosecutor.

McCabe is a 100% political creature, a flunky elevated to his former position at the FBI under Comey precisely for that reason.
Based on what I know about the backgrounds of these two men, when I'm asked "Which of these two is *far more likely* to have come up with this stupid 'Let's use the 25th to throw Trump out of office!' idea?" I look right at McCabe, not Rosenstein.
