I'm not a fast reader. It typically takes me like 2 years to finish a book so, I prefer articles instead. This year, I decided to prioritize reading, as I discovered it was one of my happiness triggers. It's also a major wisdom trigger. #Thread
According to Kindle's reading insights, I now read an average of 5 days a week. What changed?
I came across an interesting book by Gordon MacDonald called Ordering Your Private World. It changed the way I prioritize life. 
According to the book, one of the greatest limitations to fulfillment and achievement in life, is a lack of discipline. But it isn't about failing to complete daily tasks.
Essentially, if you list the things that are most important to you in life; things that are core, discipline is how many of those things you focus on each day.
Because humans have limited time on earth, the most indisciplined people are those who are always chasing tasks and activities to the detriment of what's truly important.
Nowadays, I have a list of priorities I call: 1 song, 1 chapter, 1 conversation, 1 episode, 1 mindful moment. My core includes creativity, relationships & peace. It's from those things that I derive the wisdom, direction & fuel to accomplish everything else, including work.
