I'm #Warren2020 but since @AndrewYang was gonna be in my neighborhood I thought I'd stop in to hear what he had to say.

Gotta say, I'm impressed. I now really want him & Warren to engage in a 1 on 1 discussion about how to fix our economy!
His compassion and authenticity came through big time. He obviously does what he does, including running for president, out of a genuine desire to help people. However, the same is true of Warren.
It also seems clear that he recognizes that income inequality is an enormous problem that must be rectified. Its wholly unjust that 2000 or so people have like 85% of America's wealth, while almost half of us are just barely hanging on. But how to accomplish that? Let's compare:
I'm a big fan of Warren's wealth tax. My only problem with it is that it's too small. But I didn't know until Yang said so that it's been tried in most countries in Europe and failed. I would love to hear warren respond directly to that.
I appreciate that Yang is talking plainly about the looming crisis of job evaporation due to automation. But he didn't give a satisfying answer to Axelrod's question, how do we provide people with meaningful work? He basically said lots of small local businesses will spring up...
...when communities suddenly have all this extra UBI money. But I'm skeptical. Won't the extra $1000 just get tacked on to their current spending patterns? Which of course is a massive shift to buying online, NOT local?

Again I say, let's have Warren and Yang discuss this.
A key part of Warren's plans that I love is an intention to disempower all these Mega corporations by chopping them up into smaller pieces. Banks, health care, tech... all will get splintered by Warren's heavy hammer of regulation. Yang doesn't seem to think that's important.
Bottom line, I would sure love if the powers that be at the D trip would organize a collection of head to head conversations among the various candidates - starting with @AndrewYang and @ewarren - so they could meaningfully address the issues.
Since that isn't likely to happen, I can't imagine switching my vote away from @ewarren.

But if @AndrewYang were to win the nomination, I could enthusiastically support his candidacy.
PS I do like Yang's plan of taxing all tech transactions. However, I'll confess I don't fully understand how it avoids being regressive. Or, how it's a tax directly on Amazon and Google, rather than us, their customers.
One last thing, I really must reiterate is how incredibly NICE you Yang supporters are. At least, you have been to me. Lol. It's quite striking and so lovely. It's obviously a mindset and attitude that comes from the top, i.e. Mr. Yang himself.
